Jaden Bradley scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists as No. 2 Arizona rallied for an 87-80 victory over Baylor on Tuesday in Waco, Texas.
Brayden Burries added 24 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Wildcats (26-2, 13-2 Big 12), who overcame a seven-point halftime deficit, sealing the victory in the final minutes. They swept a two-game road trip to Texas after knocking off then-No. 2 Houston on Saturday.
The Bears (14-14, 4-11) have dropped five of their last six. Cameron Carr produced a game-high 26 points, Isaac Williams IV finished with 16 points and Tounde Yessoufou had 12.
Baylor got off to a strong start, taking a 41-34 lead into halftime. The Bears shot 53.6% from the field in the first half while winning the rebounding battle 19-14 and establishing a 22-12 edge on points in the paint.
Arizona responded early in the second half. The Wildcats used a 12-2 run to take a 48-46 lead on two free throws by Motiejus Krivas with just over 15 minutes left.
It was a back-and-forth affair from that point on. Burries lobbed the ball to Krivas for a short jumper and an 80-77 Arizona lead at the 1:36 mark.
Baylor made 1 of 2 free throws on its next possession to pull within two with 1:13 left.
With 43 seconds remaining, Bradley put up a 3-point attempt that fell short, but Ivan Kharchenkov grabbed the offensive rebound. Burries then capitalized by making a second-chance jumper for an 82-78 lead with 27.8 seconds left.
The Wildcats made 5 of 6 free throws in the final 20 seconds to seal the victory.
Arizona won the rebounding battle in the second half, 23-11, as each team committed just one turnover. Both teams shot 49.2% from the field on the night.
